About Me

Hello, my name is Joel Quintana.

I am a software engineer with a strong foundation in Computer Science and a passion for technology. I am dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth, and I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge. Born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, I received my degree in Computer Science Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). While at UTEP, I had the opportunity to work as a research assistant at the Vision and Learning Lab (VLL), where I gained valuable experience in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. I have worked in various companies, including small, medium, and large organizations, as well as in the government sector. Currently, I am working at Meta (Facebook) in San Francisco, California, where I am able to apply my skills and knowledge to real-world projects. In my free time, I enjoy videogames, parkour training, traveling, and more. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have a working knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese. I am excited to see where my career will take me next and I am always open to new opportunities.
