Full-Stack Software Engineer
Full-Stack engineer at one of the largest software companies in the world. Developed features and new apps used by millions of users with custom technology and following some of the most advanced software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Preventive Health – Developed apps and features to help promote healthy behaviors of Facebook users. One of the biggest efforts was to help fight COVID-19 by providing informational modules as well as developing an app where people could locate a facility to get their vaccine and boosters.
- Meta Brand Experience – Developed in-app features to help improve public opinion about Meta by promoting content about good being done through the app, as well as educating the user about how many small businesses have benefited from using the Meta family of apps. Included some internal applications to manage a database of Small and Medium Businesses.

Lead a team of six developers in the definition and production of a system used by the Communication and Media Services branch of HP along the whole Americas region that tracked expenditures of Opportunity Managers on acquiring new sales for the organization. - Tested and debugged a new programming language being developed by PPL called OptiML. Developed required function libraries for OptiML and applications for Android Mobile Devices. Worked with C, Java, and Scala to develop small applications. Presented results of projects to faculty, students, and Army Research Lab personal.

- Assisted and collaborated with Dr. David Forsyth, students, and another faculty of UIUC on research projects involving information retrieval, natural language processing, machine learning, and computer vision. Presented results of projects to faculty, students, media, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel.

- Worked on Computer Aided Cancer Detection (CAD) in mammograms, presenting a poster on CAD at the 2009 New Mexico Bioinformatics Symposium at Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as scientific papers related to vision and learning to the VLL group.
- Implemented solutions for Morphological Galaxy Classification (MGC), using computer vision and machine learning.
- Worked on the development of an Immersion Room where people can interact with virtual embodied conversational agents using projections, voice recognition, and body tracking.
